The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is restoring a portion of the old West Chester and Philadelphia Railroad, extending SEPTA’s regional rail service to Wawa, Pennsylvania. As part of the $178 Million project, EEI has provided design and testing services. At one of the new bridges, EEI designed a 40ft excavation support wall consisting of a shotcrete fascia supported by soil nails and rock bolts.
