Perkiomen Creek Interceptor Slope Remediation

In early 2021, EEI was contracted to design a slope stabilization system for the western bank of the Perkiomen Creek in Arcola, PA.  Due to the installation of a new wastewater line and adjacent roadway, excavation of the slope was required.  EEI encountered a variety of conditions along the nearly ¼ mile long site (e.g., soil, rock, vegetation), which required unique stabilization solutions.  These included soil nails, rock anchors, rock mesh, and shotcrete.  EEI also conducted verification and proof tests to ensure that the installation met or exceeded design specifications.  This project was successfully completed in early February 2022.
