Camelback Mountain Resort in Pocono Township, Pennsylvania is one of the largest ski resorts in the state. Recently, a corrugated steel culvert installed beneath a ski path connecting two chair lifts at the resort deteriorated to the point that the ski path surface began to yield. In preparation for the upcoming winter season, EEI was tasked with providing design services for an emergency remediation. The remedial work involved the design of two soil nail concrete end walls and replacement of the nine foot diameter culvert. The culvert was repaired in time for the 2020-2021 ski season.
