Making Route 209 Safe

Along the shoulder of Route 209 into Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania is an unstable rock cliff.  In September 2017, a portion of the rock face failed, resulting in large rock boulders falling onto the road surface.  One boulder that fell onto the road was the size of a small truck.  This upcoming season EEI will be providing engineering and inspections service to construct engineering controls on the rock cliff to make the road safer for traffic.
