James A. McKelvey, III, P.E., D. GE. F. ASCE –
We are proud of Jay McKelvey’s recent presentation at the 28th Central Pennsylvania Geotechnical Conference for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in Hershey, PA. His presentation focused on typical site constraints, scour, and drainage issues, which can complicate the design of earth structures reinforced with geotextiles. These often overlooked design aspects have been shown to contribute to the distress and failure of these types of structures.
This presentation comes off the heels of his appointment as Technical Program Co-Chair for the Geosynthetics Conference 2015 and election to the Chair of the 2105-2016 Board of Directors for the ASCE Geo-Institute (DVGI) Delaware Valley Chapter.
