PHILADELPHIA – PMC Property Group in a joint venture with The Lubert-Adler Real Estate Funds, is redeveloping the former Marketplace Design Center building at 2400 Market Street. Designed by architecture firm Gensler, with Varenhorst serving as the executive architect, the four story building is being rehabbed and extended to nine stories. The top floors will become the new global headquarters for Aramark. There will be additional office and retail space. Construction is expected to be completed in 2018. Massive core foundations situated on micro-piles will support the new construction. As the registered construction special inspections agency for the project, EEI is providing construction inspection and testing services for the owner. These services include micro-pile installation, concrete, reinforcing steel, formwork, structural steel and fireproofing.
